Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born in South London, England into a mixed family. She has a father who is Nigerian as well as Swiss as well as the mother of her is English. She was raised on the southern part of London Council Estate and went to The Brit School aged 14. She pursued acting studies at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. At school, she was a part-time actor in numerous stage plays, including the King Henry V's Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe began her career as an actor in the movie Storm Damage. In the following years, she appeared in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe landed her first motion picture in the 2007 Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. She then played Elisha on an episode of the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In addition, she appeared as Ollie for six episodes in the series Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. The year 2008 saw her landed the role as Bambi in The ITV2 drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl which aired in series two and three. Madekwe made an appearance in the comedy film How to Lose Friends & Affect People. A couple of her credits on stage include Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) and Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe debuted in the US in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama show ran on The CW for only two episodes, but it was cancelled. In February of 2011 she was cast in the role of Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. Madekwe's exit from the series was announced in May 2013. After two years as the main character she made a guest performance in the opening episode of season three. She was Tituba in the program Salem from 2014 to 2016. Then, in June of 2012 Madekwe was married to her long-time love actor Iddo Goldberg. In addition to Secret Diary of a Call Girl they have also worked together on Salem and Iddo Goldberg had an appearance with her on that TV show.
Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress, is a member of a big family living in Hamilton, Ontario. Ashley Leggat was born to Roy and Patty as well her older siblings, Brett, Todd and Bram as well as Rob. Ashley's siblings, who are all athletes, play baseball during the summer and played hockey during winter. Ashley was unable to walk, but danced. As a result, as she grew older She discovered Baby Ballet. This was the beginning of Ashley's love for dancing. When she was in High School, Ashley danced competitively in the top divisions in tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, acrobatics, musical theatre, lyrical and hip-hop. Every big dance events, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and others, have awarded her with the title "top individualist".
